Terms of Service

The service
Hathly is a booking diary for salons and barbers: an appointment diary, a public online-booking page, and automatic client messages (reminders, rebook nudges and similar). It is provided for business use by Step Bros Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 16231004, registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ). These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done under your account. You must be authorised to run the business you sign up for, and you must have a lawful basis (under UK GDPR) for the client details you put into your diary — Hathly stores and processes them on your instructions.
Trial & payment
New accounts get a 14-day free trial with no card required. After that, the subscription is charged per chair — meaning per person set up in your diary, not per login, which is free and unlimited. It is £9.99 per chair per month for the first eight chairs, and £4.99 per month for each chair after that. So one chair is £9.99, three chairs £29.97, eight chairs £79.92 and sixteen chairs £119.84. Adding or removing a chair changes the bill from that point, prorated by Stripe; it is never backdated.
Billing is handled by Stripe. You can cancel any time from the billing page; your account stays active until the end of the paid period. If a subscription lapses, your diary is preserved for a reasonable period so you can export it or resubscribe, after which it may be deleted.
We will never take a percentage of your work. There is no commission, no per-booking fee, no charge for a new client and no cut of anything you are paid. The subscription above is the only thing Hathly charges you. This is a term of this agreement, not a marketing promise, and we will not introduce one for an existing subscriber.
Your data
Your diary is yours. You can export your client list at any time, and deleting your account permanently deletes your diary database. How we handle personal data is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. We keep encrypted nightly backups for disaster recovery.
Client messages
Reminders and booking messages are sent on your behalf, to your clients, about their appointments with you. You're responsible for making sure your clients are happy to receive them.
Fair use & acceptable use
Don't use Hathly for anything unlawful, to send spam, or in a way that degrades the service for other salons. We may suspend accounts that do.
Service & liability
We work to keep Hathly fast and available, but it is provided "as is" without a guaranteed uptime level. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves; material changes will be flagged in the app or by email. Continuing to use Hathly after a change means you accept the updated terms.
